Spring Break Staycation Adventures

Spring Break is here and not everyone is going on vacation, but that does not mean you can’t have a staycation while also having fun and having aesthetically pleasing food for your Instagram. Also, a little editing never hurt anyone, VSCO is a great editing app for all your food and adventures. Here are some nearby places to try out the app or the great eats.
- HB Beverage Co. is in Kirkland with an array of different healthy options, such as Acai bowls ($10.50) which are fresh fruit, housemade granola and yogurt. The offerings are decently priced for the portions received. - Road trip to Portland, Oregon and visit VooDoo donuts, like California donuts except closer to us. Reccommending the ‘Old Dirty Bastard’ which is a yeast reaised donut with chocolate frosting, Oreo cookies and peanut butter. https://www.voodoodoughnut.com/
- ‘Wings Over Washington’ is in Seattle, Washington and is an adventure ride similar to ‘Soaring over California’ that has been in the California Adventure Park. - Shug’s Soda Fountain + Ice Cream is in the middle of Pike Place Market. It’s an old fashioned soda fountain with a hip flair. They have a homemade marshmallow and a soda drink called ‘Lime Ricky’ that’s a must-try for $6. http://shugssodafountain.com/
- Vivo 53 is in Bellevue Square and is known for its crazy milkshakes which range from $17-$19. They ask for 10 minutes to make them because they have so many ingredients and the presentation is a work of art. https://www.vivo53.com/insane-sundaes/
