Spring Break is here and not everyone is going on vacation, but that does not mean you can’t have a staycation while also having fun and having aesthetically pleasing food for your Instagram. Also, a little editing never hurt anyone, VSCO is a great editing app for all your food and adventures. Here are some nearby places to try out the app or the great eats.

  1. HB Beverage Co. is in Kirkland with an array of different healthy options, such as Acai bowls ($10.50) which are fresh fruit, housemade granola and yogurt. The offerings are decently priced for the portions received. Also, you can take a picture of your personal bowl in front of the sign for an out-of-town look that’s right in our backyard.https://hbbev.co/
  2. Sugar Factory is in Bellevue and is known for their drinks that are made with nitrogen. They have a wide variety of food that runs on the spendy side. The 60oz drinks start around $30. https://sugarfactory.com/
  3. Road trip to Portland, Oregon and visit VooDoo donuts, like California donuts except closer to us. Reccommending the ‘Old Dirty Bastard’ which is a yeast reaised donut with chocolate frosting, Oreo cookies and peanut butter. https://www.voodoodoughnut.com/
  4. ‘Wings Over Washington’ is in Seattle, Washington and is an adventure ride similar to ‘Soaring over California’ that has been in the California Adventure Park. The cost is $17 and it’s a perfect adventure for a date with that special someone or with a group of friends. https://www.wingsoverwa.com/
  5. Shug’s Soda Fountain + Ice Cream is in the middle of Pike Place Market. It’s an old fashioned soda fountain with a hip flair. They have a homemade marshmallow and a soda drink called ‘Lime Ricky’ that’s a must-try for $6. http://shugssodafountain.com/
  6. Vivo 53 is in Bellevue Square and is known for its crazy milkshakes which range from $17-$19. They ask for 10 minutes to make them because they have so many ingredients and the presentation is a work of art. https://www.vivo53.com/insane-sundaes/
  7. Gum Wall is in Seattle at the Pike Place Market and is an iconic place to take photos. Don’t forget to bring gum! It’s FREE! https://www.tripsavvy.com/weird-facts-about-seattles-gum-wall-4134249
