Two Weeks Into The New Year

Every January 1 the general population follows the tradition of making a new year’s resolution but what nobody ever asks is have you kept up with your resolution. It has been two weeks since resolutions have been made, have people kept up with their 2018 resolutions?

Chloe Pott’s resolution: “This year I want to put more effort towards basketball, I want to train harder and work harder so next year when I try out for GP basketball I can make a team higher than C team.”

Pott two weeks later: “I have been sticking to my resolution, I have been going to the gym to run and have been focusing on basketball a lot more than I was before.”

Cade Birchmier’s resolution: “I would like to learn how to play the flute.”

Birchmier two weeks later: “I haven’t even thought about playing the flute since I made that resolution.”

Cody Christman’s resolution: “My resolution this year is to gain weight, I weigh around 85 pounds and people always call me scrawny.”

Christman two weeks later: “Gaining weight is harder than you’d think but I’m working on it.”

Ellie Ricci’s resolution: “In 2018 I want to drink more water, and be a happier person.”

Ricci two weeks later: “I have definitely started drinking more water, but I’ve learned being happy all the time is pretty tiring so I’ll just stick to being me.”

Some people have kept up their resolutions and some have not, some have even realized they were better before. Seeing where people stand after setting these new year goals is not always what is talked about but seeing someone’s progress can be interesting.
