School Is Starting Late
November 9, 2017
Delayed start next week due to testing.
Next Tuesday and Wednesday all of the students except the Juniors will have a late start.
The school made sure that students knew about the change in the schedule and why the test is in the fall instead of the spring.
“This summer, the State of Washington made changes to the state assessment program regarding the year in which students must complete their testing. This recent change will require Glacier Peak High School to test all juniors and any senior student who has not met standard in mathematics in November of 2017. Ensuring our students have every opportunity to complete this important graduation requirement is our commitment to you,” the school said.
School will not start until 9:45 on the testing days. However, Juniors are expected to arrive no later than 7:20. The classroom schedule for the testing will be posted in the main entrance by the office.
The bus schedule will be running normal so that students testing can make it to school on time. For those not testing that do not have a ride to school, room in the commons will be provided.
