A Service to Remember

The Baccalaureate service for the 2016-2017 senior class took place in Glacier Peak’s Performing Arts Center on Sunday, June 11. It was hosted by seniors Issy Koehler and Abe Hall. All seniors arrived in their caps and gowns and their families followed. Spencer Coffman and Erica Lane kicked it off with a performance of “Oh How I Need You” by All Sons and Daughters and “Amazing Grace” by Chris Tomlin.

Coffman played guitar and is President of GP’s One Voice club. Judah Beals played the box drum. There were scripture readings by Hannah Peterson of Hebrews 3:13 followed by Matthew Mueller who read 1 Corinthians 13. Allie Curtis read her testimony, whcih caused a standing ovation followed by a third scripture reading by Nathan Harvill of Psalm 23. Slow Down, a video by Nicole Nordemanm, was played and left the audience in tears. Staff member Chris Scott spoke, before another performance by Lane and Coffman of “It Is Well” by Bethel Music. Pastor Tim Young closed and the seniors were dismissed to go outside and get photos with their family and friends after a prayer by Pastor Young to send them off into their future.
