Rake Club Start Up

Hailey Miller, Staff Writer

Rake Club, also known as the Random Acts of Kindness Club, has started up their annual meetings every Wednesday during lunch.  Joining this club is “to give back and brighten people’s day” Makaela Hight, a club member, explained. “It also is a way to make a bunch of new friends and is just a very fun and enjoyable atmosphere.” Hight stated

Every Wednesday in the ASB room the club members think over a new idea to just brighten people’s days, and make them feel a little better. For example, Hight said, “Currently we are working on writing notes and then next week we are going to put the notes on car windshields so after school it will brighten someone’s day.” She also says that “It is a club that gives back in the simplest of ways which is what I enjoy the most”

Caitlin Sullivan explained why she likes being in this club saying “it’s a good way to spread kindness throughout the school, and is a good learning experience to treat your classmates with respect and kindness.” Another member, Taylor Kuligoski likes the club because “we do a lot of little things that end up making people’s days and it shows that little things can make a big difference in people’s lives too!”  Kuligoski and Sullivan were members in the club last year, and they are still members in this enjoyable club this year.

This club is always looking for more members and is very easy to join. They are trying to find better ideas to help improve it and by joining you could do just that. If you would like to join you can show up during A or B lunch in the ASB room and fill the lives of your fellow classmates with joy and happiness.
