Fans have been waiting since 2015 for new work from Gaga, her last single being “Til it Happens to you” and her last album a collaboration with Tony Bennet released in September 2014.

The song, “Perfect Illusion”, about love not being real and it all being unbelievably convincing, “My guessing game is strong. Way too real to be wrong. Caught up in your show. Yeah, at least now I know,” Gaga recently ended her five-year engagement from her fiancé Taylor Kinney.

Many believe the song is about their love, but Gaga has recently come out in an interview speaking on the topic of their separation, “”Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break,” Gaga said.

The single coming from Gaga’s new album Joanne, has been long awaited by fans and has rumors about certain exciting collaborations. Artist rumored to be on the album are Florence and the Machine, Beck, Father John Misty, and Mark Ronson.

The album is named after her aunt who died of lupus, Gaga shares her middle name with her aunt,
and the pain of her death was what made her family “strong and who we are,” Gaga said, “She is the woman of my past who is helping me bring more of my honest woman self in the future.”

Whatever the album holds, given Gaga’s talent and prior track record, it should be amazing.
