Fall sports season has come to an end and the basketball season is upon us. Junior Mackenzie Wilms said she is beyond excited for this season. Tryouts showed how hard some of the girls worked during the off season and that hard work will pay off.

“We are hoping to make it an undefeated season. That’s always in the back of our minds,” Wilms said.

She is hoping to continue the JV winning streak as the grizzlies JV team has never lost a game with Coach Rasmussen.

“Keeping this streak going is a lot of pressure, but it keeps us focused and we go into every game with a serious mind set,” Wilms said. This season is sure to be one for the books if they go undefeated because after a few games, they will reach the landmark of 100 wins.  

“I love wearing my famous striped pants on game days with all my teammates because it shows everyone that I am a part of the undefeated JV team and I am proud,” Wilms said.  

She likes to tell people that she belongs to the program and encourages her peers to come out to the game to support the team. The first home game is Wednesday, December 2. Tip off is at 5:40 for JV and 7:15pm for Varsity.
