The football team have been destroying the competition going strong with a 6-1 win/loss record. The team has outscored our opponents by a 301-107  overall and with no intention of slowing down.

The upcoming opponents could be fierce competition. Monroe could be challenging because they are traditionally a good team and it will be GP’s last home game. Mount Vernon is far away, so there may not be much support from the fans.

If the Varsity team wins out the rest of their games, they will be able to have an opening home game for the playoffs this year, which would be a great way to start off a playoff run towards a championship.

There still are some complications with the season, like two starters missing games with injuries. Starting quarterback Ayden Ziomas has already missed the Mariner game due to a MCL injury he sustained while playing against Lake Stevens. Raj Thiara is also done for the season with an injury he got during the Lake Stevens game and is not ready to openly talk about the subject.

With the team in such good shape at this point in the season, GP is looking at a season with great potential.
