Boys Win Big Over Kamiak

Tuesday night the Grizzly boys’ basketball team won big over second seed Kamiak in the Wesco 4A League Championship. The Grizzlies won 62-48, giving them the first seed in Wesco. They came into the game with a 10-1 league record while the Knights had a 9-2 record. In a compelling battle versus the Knights, the Grizzlies were led by junior, Bobby Martin who scored 16 points helping the grizzlies take an early lead and went on to earn the STSPN Player of the Game.
Points were spread all across the board as four people contributed double digits. Senior Justin Purcell had 15, senior Seiver Southard added 14 and sophomore Evan Mannes scored 12 to give the Grizzlies the win. The boys are now 11-1, League Champs and hoping to knock off Monroe and Mariner before heading to Districts to give them the best chance at state.
