After many years of complaining by Disney Animation fans to bring a nostalgic feel to their movies again. Jennifer Lee was Co-writing the script with Allison Moore to make another Disney Animation hit “Wish”, like Jennifer Lee’s pervious hit animated movie “Frozen” which won multiple Oscars and turned into a Broadway Musical. Before “Frozen” came out, Disney Animation movies were extremely dissatisfied with the movies that were produced. “Frozen” got Disney out of the non-memorable movies that they were making. On the day before Thanksgiving Disney came out with the 100 year special “Wish”, with Jennifer Lee helping write the script they are hoping this gets them out of another slump in hit animation movies.
“Wish”, like most Disney movies, is about making wishes come true. Disney talks about the night sky and wishing upon a star in almost every animated movie they have created. Since stars have been mentioned in so many movies they have created what a better way to celebrate 100 years of sharing touching stories than to make a story about a wishing upon a star.
“Wish” takes place in the kingdom of Rosas, the main character Asha is very invested in her kingdom, she is just a citizen of Rosas. She notices something is very off about the king. King Magnifico is a sorer who has the power to take people’s wishes and to be able to grant them if they are ready. Asha is very passionate about the stars, she wished upon a star in a time of struggle, and one fell from the sky granting Asha’s wish. Asha and the star team up with a few other friends and team up to defeat King Magnifico and to make Rosas a better place for her and her family.
