You may recognize him for movies such as The Fault in our Stars, Divergent, or Baby Driver. Ansel Elgort is a 23-year-old actor who started appearing in some of our favorite movies in 2014. Most people know him solely for his acting in these great movies but he also has a career in music.

He started his career as a DJ creating remixes on Sound Cloud. His first official single was released in 2016 titled “Home Alone. Since then he has released four singles in 2017-18. Not including a feature on Logic’s, a popular rapper, album titles “Everything.”

His most recent single released Jan 12, 2018 is titled “Supernova.”

This dance/electronic song is about how he is in love with a girl who he has expressed his feelings to, but she doesn’t seem to feel the same. It is being torn up by this stated “I’ve been waking up drenched in sweat. All my dreams, full of my regret.”

This is a really relatable song because everyone goes through phases in their lives where they like someone or has a crush and they simply don’t feel the same. It can eat you up sometimes and these lyrics really express and capture the pain that that can bring. It also has a really good beat. It is considered to be in the dance genre and it’s easy to agree with that. There’s a constant beat that is easy to dance to. Every time the chorus comes around the beat gets amplified with the catchy lyrics, it’s hard to fight back the want to bop your head and dance along.
