“I’m the set lead so I get told that we need certain set pieces and then I design them and help our set team build them. All they give us initially is just a list of set pieces that we need to make and then after I get a first drawing of it, then I start picking out materials for it and assigning people to paint it once it’s done. Recently we finished a piano. We had to put a keyboard in the piano, because it’s gonna be played on stage, and they’re going to play it during the show. We also had to make a Wells Fargo wagon so we used an old ship’s wheel from the Little Mermaid as the spokes for that. It’s a pretty small group so we all know each other really well, and it’s pretty easy to ask someone to do something for you if you need,” Armstrong said.
