“Music has been a big part of my life for, I don’t know, at least since at least sixth grade now. I’ve always listened to music, listened to what my parents showed me, but I started playing saxophone on the alto, and then I started doing more instruments. Now, I play a bunch of instruments. I don’t even know how many, but I’m focusing on saxophone and oboe, and I hope to go to college to play music professionally and hopefully, I can do music for the rest of my life. And not just playing music but listening to music. I love listening to music every day. It’s probably the one thing I couldn’t live without. I love listening to artists like John Coltrane and Miles Davis, and they really inspired me in how I want to sound as a musician, as well as a bunch of other artists. I really hope that music can be what I do for the rest of my life. I hope to go to college for it and then find a good career with the music and then do that until I can’t anymore,” Hood said.
