“I’ve been working at Snohomish Swim School for almost a year now. It’s super fun, I love it. There’s a lot of kids and parents there. I think it’s really cool seeing the little kids age over time and move up in levels. They’ll like, give you a little wave when they pass by their class and you’ll almost feel like their parent in a way, but I definitely love it. I don’t get to see my younger brother a lot so being there is like now I have all these younger siblings and it’s super fun. I lifeguard there too which is a little more difficult than teaching as there is a lot more stuff you have to memorize but it’s not too bad. The kids usually try to tease you when you’re on the stand and splash you, but I still really love it. I also deck supervise which is fun. I basically just watch over the pool and a lot of kids will want me to come sit down with them or come see them do a new skill they learned or anything. In all it’s really fun and it’s honestly cute to see all the little kids get super excited over things they did or learned,” Reyla said.
