“So I really like cooking, specifically baking, because first of all, you get to eat your food afterwards and I think there’s something so fun about putting out all the steps and then watching it come together, in a creation that you made all on your own. It’s very rewarding and I just think its fun.  Decorating specifically, like making cupcakes and plating which is something we’ve been learning to do in Culinary 2 and I feel like one of the best feelings is watching someone try your food and watching their eyes light up and be like ‘Yep, I made that.’ One of my favorite things to bake are apple pies. Aside from the baking process what I really like about them is how they remind me of my grandma. She always supported my interest in baking even bought me an apple peeler as a gift. So that’s why apple pies will always have a special place in my heart,” Hardy said.
