“Compared to all other dances, I believe tap is one of the hardest to make perfect specifically because when you do other dances, you can fake it until you make it. Basically, meaning, if you mess something up, you can just pretend that you’re doing okay without making it look like you messed up on stage. With tap, everyone can hear the moves due to the metal plates. This literally makes every single sound you make with your foot. You literally cannot mess up once, it has got to be the most perfect dance moves you can ever do in your life. Tap is a lot of pressure, but that’s why it is so much fun to do. When you get it perfect and in time with the rhythm, it’s like drumming with your feet. Every single tap goes with the beat in some way, and every single sound you make has some significance to the song.”
