“I moved into the school district a few years ago and immediately joined the Glacier Peak lacrosse team. At first, I wasn’t enjoying it because I didn’t know who anyone was. With time, however, I was able to grow my friendships and gain an understanding of how our team is family. I started to enjoy lacrosse more and put more time and effort into growing my skills and abilities. The rush of adrenaline that hits when you start on the field is like no other feeling. Our team was strong, winning most of our games and tournaments. The thrill of winning kept me going into high school. I recently started playing for the high school team, which brought new challenges, but has also grown my passion for the game. My upper classmen teammates have shown me what I can do with years of dedication, and I hope to compete at their level someday.”
