“I started doing photography eighth grade. I took a class about it, and although the teacher was somewhat weird, I ended up realizing that this was something I wanted to continue to do. I played around with my family’s camera, and then eventually, earned enough money to buy one of my own. Throughout freshman year, I continued to learn more and more about how the camera works. I read books, went on websites, asked other well experienced photographers, stuff like that. By the time I got my license in sophomore year, I was going on hikes and to different cities, exploring nature and taking pictures while I was at it. It’s such a fun hobby to me because I get the opportunity to go outside and explore the world around me and meet new people, while also doing something I love. I take pictures of nature but I also enjoy taking pictures of other people. This passion is hopefully something that will follow me for a long time.”
