With summer season fast approaching, it brings the start of outdoor concerts, which begin in late May and go all the way till the end of August, when schools start to let out.
Kendrick Lamar and SZA are currently on their Grand National Tour, which starts on April 19th, 2025, in Minnesota, and are planned to stop in Seattle for one night and perform on May 17th,2025, at 7:00 pm. Tickets are very high priced, however, starting at $205 for nosebleeds. All the tickets left are resale even through Ticketmaster, which is why the influx in price happens. Lumen Field is a primarily outdoor stadium, and even with the unpredictable Washington weather, the show is set to happen no matter rain or shine, which could lead to a less enjoyable show for fans.
This June, the second big concert of the summer, at T-Mobile Park, Post Malone is visiting Seattle on his BIG STADIUM TOUR with country artist Jelly Roll opening for one night on Thursday, June 26th, 2025, to play songs off of his most recent country album “F-1 Trillion.” Post Malone had originally been a rap/R&B artist before his most recent albums, so this genre switch is a big change. Tickets are primarily resale, but prices start at around $150 and increase the closer you are to the stage; however, since it is a baseball stadium, a majority of the seats, even if they seem far away, will still give you an amazing view of the show.
One of the seemingly most anticipated concerts of the year is The Weeknd’s visit to Lumen Field on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, at 7:00 pm for one show on his After Hours Till Dawn tour with popular supporting artists Playboi Carti and Mike Dean. Fans flocked to get tickets because after this, the tour is over. The Weeknd plans to retire his stage name but continue making music, but instead it will be under his stage name, Abel Tesfaye. This final leg of the tour begins on May 4th, 2025, and has 44 shows in North America. There are a decent amount of tickets left with prices starting at $11o, but are expected to increase the closer the show date becomes.
For the second show in July and the third show at Lumen Field this Summer, Morgan Wallen is on Friday, July 25th, 2025, at 5:30 pm during his I’m The Problem country tour. Both resale and original ticket prices start around $100 and increase depending on where you choose to sit in the stadium. If you choose to invest in floor seats, they are standing General Admission, and there are no chairs available.
One of the annual festivals to happen in Washington State every year is the Watershed Country Music Festival. It takes place a few hours away from Seattle and happens at The Gorge Amphitheatre, in George, Washington. This year, the three-day music festival is set to happen the weekend of August 1st-August 3rd. Many people who go opt to camp, stay in hotels, or rent houses local to the venue. The three headliners are popular artists, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, and Bailey Zimmerman, with General Admission tickets starting at $250 and increasing prices depending on the level of ticket you are hoping to purchase.
To close off the 2025 summer concert season, The Lumineers perform on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, and the show starts at 6:30 pm at T-Mobile Park with supporting folk music artists, The Head and The Heart, and Tom Odell. Many students are even going to multiple of these concerts this summer with their friends or their family. “I am going to The Weeknd concert with two of my friends and I am going to The Lumineers with my parents and sister. I am super excited,” Anna Rocco said.
Overall, with many different genres of artists visiting Seattle this summer, there is for sure a concert that fits everyone’s interests.
