3V3 Basketball Game

Glacier Peak’s annual 3v3 March Madness basketball game is held with the goal of bringing the student body closer, and they made it happen. Along with the 3v3 basketball game, there was Pie Day trivia and Green Out for St. Patrick’s Day. The 3v3 basketball was on March 24 at the gym at Glacier Peak. There was quite a turnout for teams, including one made up of only teacher and staff. This team, the ‘Odd One Out’ won the match. “On the field we didn’t allow any 3s simply because the shot would be too valuable. Personally, I felt like the hardest team we played was this senior team, which I think have the best players. I didn’t practice, I kind of just showed up and started playing, and it went well,” Adam Cumming said.

While they didn’t have much time to do so, many of the teams competing did their best to practice and come up with strategies that could potentially win them the game. “I think a good strategy we used was we played hard and we gave it our all, which paid off. The hardest team we went up against was probably Joe’s team, I just don’t remember the name of it. Regarding practice we really didn’t do much of it, but it still worked out pretty great,” Luke Posey said.

The basketball game is held with more than just the Glacier Peak student body in mind, too. “Aside from bring the student body closer, the 3V3 basketball also helps and raised money for the Boys and Girls club here at Snohomish. Which a lot of students have grown-up playing basketball through the organization,” Mrs. Corwin said.
